Meet our cleantech start-ups with solutions to support the transition of industrial players.

2025 April 9 - District Cleantech and A6K brought together in Charleroi a network of committed players — start-ups, industrial leaders, and financial partners — all united around a common goal: accelerating the transition towards sustainable technologies.

This event offered a unique opportunity to discover 11 innovative start-ups already shaping the world of tomorrow, in an atmosphere conducive to networking, inspiring discussions, and meaningful connections. Industrial players, innovators, and investors engaged around concrete solutions to drive the sustainable transformation of the industrial sector.

A highlight: an inspiring keynote

The afternoon kicked off with a keynote by Nadia Jacobs (AGC Glass Europe) and Charlène Collin (CLIMACT), setting the tone: how to place climate impact at the heart of business ambition.

Spotlight on the start-ups driving change

For those who couldn’t attend, here’s a look at the 11 breakthrough start-ups that presented innovative solutions to support decarbonization, energy optimization, and industrial circularity.

ARK Capture Solution: A solution for CO₂ capture at the source

ARK took advantage of the event to unveil its CO₂ capture equipment, designed to operate directly at the source on industrial and energy sites. By targeting emissions at their origin, the technology significantly reduces the carbon footprint of facilities with a concrete, immediately deployable approach.

Gradyent: Unveiling a digital twin to optimize heating and cooling networks

Gradyent introduced its SaaS solution based on an intelligent digital twin capable of simulating an entire heating or cooling network. By combining data, physical modeling, and AI, the tool optimizes performance, anticipates needs, and guides strategic decisions for more efficient networks.

Ionect: A key role in the industrial energy transition

Ionect presented its approach to supporting the adoption of low-carbon energy vectors: green hydrogen, e-fuels, and electrochemical technologies. Acting as an engineering consultancy facilitating the connection between innovation and concrete application, Ionect plays a central role in the industrial energy transition.

Insens: A smart approach to industrial performance

Insens revealed its intelligent diagnostic system based on the analysis of electrical signals feeding motors. This technology anticipates unexpected shutdowns, schedules maintenance, and reduces electricity consumption. By optimizing processes and enhancing installation reliability, Insens offers a new vision of energy performance.

Matgenix: A technology revolutionizing materials R&D

Matgenix presented its AI-driven platform combining simulation and automation to accelerate the discovery of innovative materials. By reducing R&D time and costs through machine learning, their solution paves the way for faster innovation in the materials and chemical sectors.

Mitis: A vision for decentralized micro-generation

Mitis showcased its micro-generation turbines, transforming waste heat into local, flexible, and decentralized electricity. With its patented flameless combustion and high-speed turbomachinery technologies, this Belgian start-up is establishing itself as a key player in European energy innovation.

Qpinch: An industrial revolution

How can energy efficiency in the process industry be improved? Qpinch demonstrated its breakthrough technology, capable of recovering residual heat and transforming it into high-quality steam. Carbon-neutral thanks to a patented chemical heat pump, this solution significantly reduces primary energy consumption.

RaYSun: A vision for a local and inclusive energy transition

RaYSun highlighted its model of local solar-based energy communities. Founded in 2022, the start-up is committed to a territory-rooted energy transition, combining ecology, social inclusion, and equity. A participative approach for a sustainable energy future.

Revalio: An integrated approach for a more water-efficient industry

With solutions aimed at reducing water consumption in industrial processes, Revalio offers a complete approach from diagnosis to recycling. The goal: maximize savings while ensuring performance and environmental compliance, in line with industrial sustainability.

Thermo Power Systems: A solution for waste heat valorization

Thermo Power Systems presented its thermodynamic conversion systems, designed to transform waste heat into electricity. Thanks to their efficiency, low investment costs, non-toxicity, and wide operating temperature range, these solutions offer a sustainable and competitive response for large-scale energy management.

VOCSens: Smart sensors for precision environmental monitoring

VOCSens presented its multi-analyte gas sensors, such as the EnviCam30, designed to monitor air quality, safety, and industrial environments in real time. Applicable across various sectors, their solutions promote proactive, safe, and connected management.

After the pitches, it was time for a moment of conviviality: start-ups and participants had the opportunity to connect freely, share their visions, and discuss sustainable and innovative solutions. The networking session lived up to expectations, with authentic discussions, valuable connections, and promising collaboration prospects.
