Kick-off ceremony for Sirris' Demonstrator 4.0
On December 5, 2024 - Sirris officially opened its new laboratory within A6K. This opening also marks the introduction of a cutting-edge tool designed to support companies in making the digital transition to the world of Industry 4.0.
The concepts of Industry 4.0, and their adoption by companies, are essential as they enable production optimization, improved plant flexibility, quality monitoring, and cost reduction—thanks in particular to automation, connectivity, and real-time data analysis.
In the Sirris laboratory, practical applications demonstrate how to achieve the highest level of quality. This includes a 3D printing farm that is constantly monitored to detect any process deviations and an automated cell for cleaning parts using a cobot.
You can also explore a terahertz demonstrator, operated by Multitel, which performs non-destructive testing on 3D-printed parts.
In addition to these applications, the lab houses state-of-the-art digital tools to help industry leaders define their own manufacturing excellence strategies:
- Experience the future of manufacturing through a ‘serious game,’ where you can test the impact of strategic decisions on a production system.
- Step into the VR factory to explore what the factory of the future looks like—an opportunity to see innovation in action!
- Explore 4.0 use cases and success stories on the videowall, accessible to all visitors via QR code.
