A6 K Kick off Sirris Demonstrator 4 0 2024 0 D8 A8182

On December 5, 2024 - Sirris officially opened its new laboratory within A6K. This opening also marks the introduction of a cutting-edge tool designed to support companies in making the digital transition to the world of Industry 4.0.

The concepts of Industry 4.0, and their adoption by companies, are essential as they enable production optimization, improved plant flexibility, quality monitoring, and cost reduction—thanks in particular to automation, connectivity, and real-time data analysis.

In the Sirris laboratory, practical applications demonstrate how to achieve the highest level of quality. This includes a 3D printing farm that is constantly monitored to detect any process deviations and an automated cell for cleaning parts using a cobot.

You can also explore a terahertz demonstrator, operated by Multitel, which performs non-destructive testing on 3D-printed parts.

In addition to these applications, the lab houses state-of-the-art digital tools to help industry leaders define their own manufacturing excellence strategies:

  • Experience the future of manufacturing through a ‘serious game,’ where you can test the impact of strategic decisions on a production system.
  • Step into the VR factory to explore what the factory of the future looks like—an opportunity to see innovation in action!
  • Explore 4.0 use cases and success stories on the videowall, accessible to all visitors via QR code.

Exploring the features of Demonstrator 4.0

The Demonstrator 4.0 by Sirris offers a comprehensive range of advanced tools and technologies designed to showcase the potential of Industry 4.0. Among its highlights:

  • A 3D printing farm with connected equipment, enabling real-time monitoring and optimization.
  • The A460 3D printer ORION, a high-temperature 3D printer ideal for high-performance materials.
  • The Minerva 3D printer by VALCUN, utilizing Aluminium Molten Metal Deposition (MMD) technology for cutting-edge applications.
  • A terahertz demonstrator by Multitel, enabling non-destructive testing of 3D-printed parts.
  • A serious game that simulates the impact of strategic decisions on manufacturing processes.
  • The VR factory, a virtual reality experience that brings the factory of the future to life.
  • The 4.0 videowall, featuring use cases and success stories accessible via QR codes.
