Alstom integrates A6K
Alstom develops and provides systems, equipment and services for the transport sector. But not only! The company also offers a range of solutions, personalized services and offers dedicated to passengers, infrastructure solutions, digital mobility and signalling.
One of Alstom's main missions is to meet the needs of the present without compromising the future. This is why its teams actively contribute to the transition towards sustainable solutions in order to achieve a socially responsible business model.
The site located in Charleroi, in the former buildings of the Ateliers de Constructions Électriques, is recognized worldwide for its know-how in the fields of signalling, rolling stock and maintenance. It has more than 1100 employees, including 500 engineers, who carry out about a hundred projects on all five continents!
One of the devices recently designed at Charleroi is the ATO autonomous driving system; this is a driving aid for railway workers who could in the future be responsible for driving the train alone. This device is imagined for the contract of the Luxembourg railroads which aims at buying 34 double-deck trains for the connection of Luxembourg city towards France and Belgium.
The site, which never stops innovating, is in an excellent position to design the mobility of the future: efficient, sustainable and connected, made in Charleroi!
