Technofutur TIC, a key player in digital training

A6 K Company Presentation Technofutur TIC 3

Alexis Paternostre and Ingrid Van Vooren, dedicated representatives of Technofutur TIC, introduce this flagship organization in the field of digital training.

Alexis Paternostre is the coordinator of one of E6K's campus, the “Open Learning Lab.” After studying public relations at IHECS and gaining five years of experience at the Microsoft Innovation Center Brussels, he joined Technofutur TIC, driven by the desire to contribute to the development of his hometown, Charleroi. "It was the perfect opportunity to continue growing in the digital field while supporting diverse audiences," Alexis shares.

Ingrid Van Vooren, head of qualifying training programs for job seekers, has been working at Technofutur TIC for over 20 years. "Each year brings a blend of new challenges, exciting partnerships, and enriching human stories," Ingrid enthusiastically explains.

Addressing tomorrow’s digital needs

Technofutur TIC is a skills center designed as a hub for training, monitoring, and raising awareness. Its mission is to respond to the needs expressed by businesses, workers, job seekers, the education sector, and industry partners.

"My role is to propose, coordinate, and lead training and networking activities in our Charleroi facilities. These facilities are shared with the Charleroi IFAPME Center; we mainly occupy them during the day, while they use them in the evenings and on weekends. It’s a multifaceted role that blends relationship-building, operations, and strategy," explains Alexis.

"In my role, I organize high-quality training directly aligned with the needs of regional businesses and beyond. These training programs cater to individuals with or without IT skills or professional experience, helping them quickly secure sustainable jobs in the IT sector. I’ve established robust support for job seekers at Technofutur TIC, involving trainers, career coaches, administrative and pedagogical coordinators, among others. Our entire team shares this mission and is fully committed to ensuring that our trainees successfully complete their training and secure long-term employment in IT," adds Ingrid.

A pioneering journey

Part of the ecosystem since October 2019, Technofutur TIC is one of our “early members.” Within the E6K campus, they share facilities with the centre IFAPME de Charleroi.

In November 2022, Technofutur TIC inaugurated the Open Learning Lab in partnership with IFAPME, providing additional training spaces to meet increasing demand.

Technofutur TIC actively collaborates with key partners, such as the Belgian Defense on cybersecurity projects, and offers tailored tech training programs to meet company needs. One such initiative was the 2022 skills shortage training in partnership with NRB, which led to 80% of the cohort securing jobs with the company.

Training and connecting

Technofutur TIC’s programs often conclude with hands-on projects, where trainees apply their newly acquired skills in front of a jury. The organization invites businesses to join these juries to discover emerging talent or provide constructive feedback.

Building a future for today’s and tomorrow’s talents

With its strong local roots and focus on innovation, Technofutur TIC continues to play a pivotal role in digital transformation. By aligning with the shared values and missions of the community, the organization strengthens the regional tech ecosystem and inspires new generations of digital talent.
